Back again - and improved. Still from about £60 return but you can now book as few as three returns (6 trips in ferry-speak) and no longer have to pre book all your dates. See www.seafrance.com/seafrance/opencms/uk/en/passenger/Carnet.html

There are a few 'ifs' about peak times but our experience of Sea France is that they are very fair and flexible - we'll be buying one!
